Trakt.tv Integration

Connect your Trakt.tv account to get personalized movie recommendations based on your watch history and ratings.
Note: authentication is normally one-time. The server refreshes Trakt tokens automatically, and re-auth is only needed if the refresh token expires or is revoked.

AI Catalog Exclusions Hide titles already watched in Trakt from AI catalogs

Only affects homepage and custom AI recommendation catalogs after your Trakt account is linked. Manual searches stay unchanged.

Search Catalog Layout Combine movie and series search catalogs into one

Saves space by exposing a single AI search catalog. Queries that clearly ask for movies or shows will prioritize that type, while direct title lookups prioritize the referenced media and closely related sequels, prequels, and spinoffs first. Natural-language filters like no anime, not documentaries, only movies, and from 2024 are also respected in search ranking and filtering.

Enable Gemini web grounding

Lets Gemini use Google Search retrieval for fresher results when queries reference very recent movies or shows. This can improve post-cutoff discovery, but may add a little latency and some models may ignore it.

Show AI Recommendations on Homepage

If disabled, the AI recommendation catalogs will not appear on your Stremio homepage.

Custom Homepage Catalogs (Optional)

Enter a comma-separated list of catalogs in the format Title:Query. Each entry will create a new catalog on your homepage. e.g. `Mystery:recommend mystery thrillers,Sports:recommend sports movies` gives three catalogs titled "Mystery - Movie", "Mystery - Series", and "Sports - Movie". To show only movies for a query, add the word "movies" to it (e.g., `Thriller:thriller movies`). This prevents a series catalog from appearing for that query. To use Trakt recommendations add 'Recommend' keyword in the query (e.g., `Top Rated:recommend top rated movies`). For new content, use 'New' keyword (e.g., `New Releases:new action movies`).
